Poetic Transmissions: Sept. 16th

Broken Bones

Crying never came so naturally as when

alone.

On the sidewalk with callused heels

it's proper to allow yourself some room

to hold tightly the little one

Knees to her chest

seeing the pain of this world

without having a place to put it

A drop of blood

in a confused body

a confused society

taught to fight

alone.

Her tears

Don't take them lightly

as each one fills the ocean with

one's growing pain

Chalk covered sidewalk

washed away in equinox

rain
